Cheeseburger Casserole

All the taste of a cheeseburger without the carbs! This is a GREAT alternative to going out and getting a juicy burger at your local fast food restaurant. It’s packed with protein, and WAY fewer calories (and carbs). 🙂

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 yellow onion, chopped
1 t olive oil
1 1/2 lbs grass-fed ground hamburger (Costco sells this in bulk for WAY cheap – it’s even cheaper than non-grass fed hamburger at Walmart!)
2 T Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp Famous Dave’s Steak and Burger Seasoning
2 tomatoes, one sliced, one chopped
Lettuce Leaves or Spinach
1 C Shredded Cheddar Cheese

2 Avocados
1/4 Red Onion, chopped
1/2 t Lime Juice
1/4 t Cumin

INSTRUCTIONS:

Combine olive oil and chopped onion in a large pan and cook until onions are translucent.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Meanwhile, combine ground beef, Worcestershire Sauce, and Famous Dave’s Seasoning. Add meat mix to onions and brown hamburger.

Place the meat mix evenly into the bottom of a 8X8 or 9X9 and top with sliced tomatoes lettuce leave, then sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Cover with aluminum foil and place in the ovenfor 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese has completely melted.

Meanwhile, prepare the guacamole by mashing avocados and combining the red onion, lime juice, and cumin. Combine thoroughly.

When your meat has finished in the oven, top with the guacamole or serve it on the side. Enjoy!
